My ancestors were Savages (!) from Froyle and thanks to your site I can trace them back to the mid-1700s. I drive through Froyle frequently and it is nice to see some of the cottages my ancestors lived in are still there: Porch Cottage, what was the Malthouse next to the old shop and then the cottage down from that for example.
