What a great site. I could spend hours just looking around and watching the family names go down through the generations. Unfortunately I did not find the ancestors I was looking for but enjoyed myself all the same. MUST pay Froyle a visit very soon. Thank you.

I have just been exploring my family history and have traced the Windebanks to Froyle. I think they moved to Hugglescote Leicestershire in the 1870s. I would love to have contact with anyone whio knows more of this branch of my family.

Could that be Valerie Goodyear? She would be about 14 in 1961. Actually she would have been younger so it may not be the same one. The Messenger's used to own a farm on the main road between Froyle and Holybourne. Very nice people used to visit them quite often. I used to live at the Shrubbery. I wonder if the current owners have ever heard or seen the ghost. We did often!

Great site with lots of info. Visited Froyle in 2004 and found my ancestor's graves.

Liked the web page.. I knew Froyle well some 50/35 years ago even longer. I designed a new house there in 1961 [ a Miss Cook? ].. trying to find a family connection ..concerns an Albert Vass married a lady named ? LASSAM..Anyone out there

realy pleased i came across this as i have family who lived there perhaps even distant relatives who still live in froyle such as the binfields or harris's
