Found site very interesting. Have many memories of the hen & Chicken. As the Frank Rawson was my grandadd.Although I was only 4 years when I last lived there. Grandad and grandma did not move away very far just to the end of the garden in the first of the cottages.Where they lived to their end. My mother and father were married in the church at froyal and the old school was my first school. An older girl used to walk me up the hill to school but can not remember her name.My grand parents spent many years in India. Grandad was the regimental serjent major in the Royal Fild Artillary. George Rawson my father joined the army at 14years of age as a trumpeter and ended up as Lt. Cournal ay 36years of age and retired to Newquey/Cubit in cornwall where is now buried.
My e-mail address is frank2@eurobell.co.uk. When grandad retired from the army he braught his batman Charlie Bartlet with him who stayed with him till he died [the batman that is ]

Remarkable site - so interesting and much information. The village must pay Mr & Mrs Booth an awful lot of money for all this work. If they don't - they should!

Enjoyed looking through the site. Enjoyed seeing the photos of my Uncle Bill (Rhodes) during his football days. I lived in Froyle for a while with my grand parents and attended the school in Upper Froyle.
