  Hi
My partner and I are moving to Lower Froyle in a couple of months and also found Froyle in pursuiit of a slice of countryside afforable heaven, not far from the big city! I have a keen interest in history and I am pleased that I have come across your site so that I can start to get to know the village that will become our home. It's great - Thank you!

Thank you Chris and Annette for the Foyle Achieve Day last month. My daughter and I tracing our family tree found a new branch to our existing tree, we didn't know about.
From this visit I notice on your Guestbook here that at Peter Lassam (Notes 67 & 68 from Dec 2005) was looking for family links for Albert Vast and his surname Lassam. Peter if your still in touch with guestbook, get in touch as 99.9% sure that after our visit to Froyle, that Albert was our grandmothers' brother.

Congratulations on your ambitious site! I'm having a look because one of my ancestors, William Bulbeck, was born in Froyle before 1437,son of John Bulbeck. I imagine they might be mentioned in Froyle's manorial records - which, as I see from its online catalogue, are in the British Library. I haven't seen them; I wonder if you or anyone else has had a look?! Best of luck with the splendid site!

Despite being born in the village I knew little of the history.. So wonderful to see my grand-parents in the 1901 census - when my dad was a baby.. Thank you so much!

Congratulations on putting together this wonderfully interesting website. I was a student at Treloar College in the 1970s and the photos brought back many happy memories of my time in Froyle. I have particularly fond memories of the beautiful village post office shop where I used to buy sweets.

This is a truly amazing site that Annette and Chris have. We have connections to Froyle with a Mills family who were well known in the Methodist Chruch. Also to the WELLS family who lived there from about 1800-1900. We met some very friendly and helpful ladies at the church one sunday a few years back.We look forward to reading all the new aechives on the site

I'm having such a lovely time tracking my Trimmer family through the resources on your site. They have been an elusive bunch to research from Australia, where Sophia Emily Gosnell, nee Trimmer landed in 1855.
Many thanks,
Patricia J. Cosgrove.

I have been looking at the site to find out information about by ancestors - the Miller family. I am the great, great, great, great grandaughter of Hannah Miller and live down the road in Farnham.
