In December 1996 a Millennium Committee was formed to find projects in the village to commemorate the Millennium. A survey was sent out in early 1997 to all villagers and the results correllated and analysed. From nearly 150 suggestions the list was narrowed down to the following projects, which are now being costed and sources of possible funding located to pay for them.

Projects

  • The Planting of oak trees.
  • The enlargement of the existing children's playground.
  • An aerial runway for teenagers.
  • Nesting boxes to encourage wildlife.
  • A few wooden seats where the views around the village can be enjoyed
  • A booklet of footpaths, nature and points of interest.
  • A Parish Map drawn and decorated by our local artists.
  • A video of "1000 years of Froyle".
  • A booklet celebrating "100 years of Froyle".

The Froyle Gardening Club are producing a record of all aspects of gardens and gardening in Froyle.
There are also a number of projects specific to the Church, decisions for which are to be taken shortly.
