Electoral Registers are lists created annually of people who are eligible to vote and include their reason for eligibility, such as their residence or ownership of a property. Until 1918, the right to vote was closely linked to property ownership. The details in the registers may vary slightly, but in these edited lists we have just recorded Name and Residence. They do, however, provide a very useful filler between the Census of 1911 and the National Register of 1939.
