The Methodist Church

These two pictures show that part of Lower Froyle from the village shop to the Methodist Church and Porch Cottage The picture on the left was taken in the 1930s - the picture on the right was taken on September 1st 2003.
While the basic scene is little different, there are a few changes:-
  • The road has been surfaced.
  • A few more trees have grown up.
  • Glebe Cottage (nearest the camera) has been painted..
  • The Methodist Church closed in 1998 and has now been demolished and a house built on the site.
The lady with the child and pram is Miss Grace Westbrook and the young girl is her niece, Ruth Smither.
